21 Books and Series I want to Read in 2021

The Riyria Revelations Series by Michael J. Sullivan (3 Books)

I read the Riyria Chronicles and I loved it. I love following Hadrian and Royce’s adventures and I really want to Riyria Revelations as soon as possible.

The Faithful and the Fallen Series by John Gwynne (3 Books)

I read Malice in 2020 and although I struggle a little to get into it, it was an amazing read and I can wait to see what will happen.

The First Law Series by Joe Abercrombie (3 Books)

I read Shattered Sea by Joe Abercrombie which is a YA fantasy and I really had a great time. So now it’s time for me to dive into his crime dark adult fantasy that everyone is raving about!

Islands of Blood and Storm Series by Kacen Callender (2 Books)

This one was in my 2020 TBR, but I didn’t get to it, but I’m still so intrigued by it. Plus the second book is now out so if I like it I don’t have to wait to read the sequel!

The Unlikely Escape of Uriah Heep by H. G. Parry

This one was on my radar for a while, and then I won the book in a give away. So now I don’t have any excuses not to read it!

The Fires of Vengeance by Evan Winter

Read the first book in 2020 and again I really liked it. I have the eArc from NetgGalley so I should be getting to it very soon

The Gutter Prayer by Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan

I was recommended this one by a fellow book blogger and is has picked my interest.

The Bone Shard Daughter by Andrea Stewart

One of my favourite YouTubers raved about this one recently so it when straight to my immediate TBR.

Jade City by Fonda Lee

Do I really need to explain why? This one has amazing reviews and the story sounds so intriguing. I mean The Godfather with magic? Need to be high on everyone’s TBR.

The Thief Who Pulled on Trouble’s Braids by Michael McClung

This is a self-published one that was once again highly recommended to me, so I had to add it to this list.

Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse

This is a 2020 new release, but it has already amazing reviews. It is inspired by the civilizations of the Pre-Columbian Americas, and I’m really excited about it!

Pawn’s Gambit by Rob J. Hayes

This story is written in the same world as Never Die which made it to my top reads of 2020. So off course I can wait to read Pawn’s Gambit!

The Bard’s Blade by Brian D. Anderson

So this one some of my favourite YouTubers and book blogger, and it has picked my interest.

The Shadow of What Was Lost by James Islington

I just order this one, so I should (in theory) get to this one very soon!

Oh boy, those are only 21 of the books that I want to read, but I’m already panicking! What about you my lovely readers? What books to you have on your 2021 TBR?

  1. Wow, we have a lot of crossover of things we want to read. I’m hoping to start a bunch of new series this year. I really want to focus on my sci-fi reading and just trying to be on the lookout for new books and pick things that I see others reading and enjoying

      1. Unfortunately just when I was about to start I had some serious family issues and I haven’t been in the mood for heavy reading. But I hoping to get back in this world very soon! I’ve heard only amazing things about the rest of the series!
