During that past 3 months a gather a decent amount of book so here’s my Winter Book Haul.
- A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie. I actually won this one in a give away hosted by Novel Notions
- Red Rising by Pierce Brown. This was a Christmas present and I read it immediately. Full review here
- Golden Son by Pierce Brown. I bought this one used for £3 as soon as I finished the first book. I’m not in a hurry to get to it but I do want to finish the series.
- City of Ghost by V. E Schwab. I listen to this one on audiobook last year and since I have a shelf dedicated to V. E. Schwab and I found this one used for £3 I bought it.
- The Last Wish by Andrzej Saprowski. The show is out and I’m really curious about it but I think I want to start the book first. I’m planning on reading this one next month.
- The Last Smile in Sunder City by Luke Arnold. I got the E-Arc from NetGalley and I liked it so much that I ordered it the day of its release. Full review here
To be honest, when I started on NetGalley I never expected to be approved by big publishers… And yet I was and I’m so grateful about is. So here’s is the list of E-Arcs I got from Netgalley.
- The Unspoken Name by A. K. Larkwood. Unfortunately, I started my NetGalley reviews on a negative. It looks like I have an unpopular opinion on this one. Full review here
- The Goblets Immortal by Beth Overmyer. Things didn’t go any better with this one… Full review here
- The Last Smile in Sunder City by Luke Arnold. As I mention above, I really like this one and didn’t expect to get approved. Finally broke my bad review strike. Full review here
- The Rage of Dragons by Evan Winter. I was so excited when I saw this one and again, never thought I’ll be approved. Currently reading this one. Planning to have a review by the end of the month.

The Girl and the Stars by Mark Lawrence. It took a long time before a was approved so much so that I had given up hope. And yet 2 weeks ago I got approved! This is going to be my first Mark Lawrence and I’m very excited
E-Books are not my favourite format because I found it harder to read. But when there is a good deal on books that I really want to read… Well, I get them. Also, look at those covers!
- Never Die by Rob J. Hayes.
- The Sword of Kaigen by M.L. Wang. One of my favourite Booktubers raved about it and got me very curious
I got both of those for 99p on kindle so it was hard to say no…
So here are the books that I go in the past 3 months. It’s actually more than I realised. What about you guy? What books did you recently get? Which one are you very excited to read?
I shared your unpopular opinion of The Unspoken Name, so I guess that makes us co-unpopular. 🙂
The Rage of Dragons looks good, but I’ll probably catch up with a finished copy later. I do have the ARC of The Girl and the Stars but want to finish Holy Sister first.

Co-unpopular I like that 😊.
The hardcover edition of The Rage of Dragons is already out but the paperback is coming out next month so I think that’s why Netgalley still has it available.
As for The Girl and the Stars I was also tempted to read Holy Sister first but I’ve noticed that I’m not a fan of training schools settings so I thought maybe I should give that one a go.
