My 2019 Year in Books

I started this blog and review regularly late this year so I thought it would be a good idea to make a blog about my overall reading in 2019.

My Goodreads Challenge

This year I decided to make reading a little bit of a priority but I still knew that I will have limited time and that I’m a slow reader. So I challenged myself to read 20 books this year and I’m quite proud to say that I surpassed my goal!

All the Books I Read

Those Books include

  • 5 Audio Books
  • 21 Physical book
  • Of which 3 where  indie or  authors
  • I didn’t have any ARC’s unfortunately because I just started to request ARCs from Netgalley and other similar sites.

Goodreads stats

My favourite of the year

That’s hard one… But I’m gonna go with

The Crown Tower by Michael J. Sullivan

My least favourite of the year

The Masterpiece by Chiemeka Nicely

Currently Reading

We still have 10 days until 2019 is officially over so I might manage to squeeze another book or two in those stats. The books I’m currently reading are

The Unspoken Name by A.K. Larkwood

This is an ARC I received through Netgalley. I have to admit that I’m struggling a little with the passing of it but we will see.

Half a War by Joe Abercrombie

This is the 3rd and last of the Shattered Sea Trilogy, and I’m enjoying it so far (wasn’t expecting any different).

I’m hoping to finish both those books by the end of the year but to be honest I don’t think that will happen. I’m going back home for Christmas which mean spending time with family, taking care of any errant needed etc etc. So it won’t happen but I can still dream!

What about you guys? How was your reading in 2019? Let me know in the comments!
